Report N1 (added on July, 1, 2005)
I was contacted by "Svetlana Smirnova" after putting my profile in Yahoo Personals. Her letters are eaxactly the same as Tatiana & Diego's (James). I found these same letters when I did a search for flowers or something called "Hristyanin". It brought up this website w/the same
Report N2 (added on August, 30, 2005)
This woman contacted me through JDate. I have a profile on JDate but it is inactive. I am already corresponding with a good woman in Russia. I thought that this Marina or Svetlana was for sure a scammer because over the years I have developed a good sense for detecting
scammers by the letters they write. She contacted me first which is always a bad sign. I have only received two letters from her so far but I was suspicious enough to browse this site and sure enough I found Svetlana
Smirnova on your site. She is the same woman as Marina who contacted me. I am sure I am being set up for a scam. I would not have fallen for it anyway because I am committed to another good woman in Russia but I do
want to alert others.
Report N3 (added on September, 13, 2005)
I almost got taken by this "babe" to the tune of $650.00 which is what she told me that she was "short" on purchasing her plane ticket to the US to come & "be with me." When I gave Western Union her name, I was
cautioned that she had been sent money by another gentleman in the US within the last 10 days & that was how many Russian women made their living. After doing a search, I found the "Stop Scammers" website AND I
then found her picture (same girl, same outfit, DIFFERENT name)! And to think that I was about to send her the money...I felt really sickened. RELIEVED that I didn't go through with it, but relieved nonetheless.
Report N4 (added on September, 30, 2005)
She did send me a number of photographs. Interested?
I hope this will help you out.
The good thing in all this is that I never sent her any money.
Report N5 (added on April, 4, 2006)
I contacted her on americansingles and we talked for about a week after which she told me she had a problem with the internet cafe she goes to and she wanted me to first send $700 and her mom gave her $300 for a computer setup. then in next email she told me she borrowed $500 from work and she did not want to suffice $500 so she wanted $450 from me in that letter. I stoped emailing her for about 2 weeks after which I tried to contact her again and she has not responded yet(it has been 4 days). I did not send money to her knowing it was a posible spam as I was spamed on skype from another girl.
