We corresponded for about six weeks. She told me that she had a mandatory vacation approaching and that she would like to visit me. She initially said she would pay all of her travel expenses. After she supposedly secured a B1/B2 visa from an "agency", she told me that she was $224.00 US short for the airfare, and that she had already put down all of her money to purchase the ticket - including money she had gotten by pawning her jewelry. I sent her $250.00 by Money Gram. I was doing some research on travel to visit her in Stepanovka later this fall when I accidentally found a report about her on another SCAMMER site. It appears that someone is using boiler-plate master documents, sets of pictures and names that may or may not belong to the scammers involved, and personalizing the responses. I was completely fooled. I'm just glad I figured it out before it cost me more money and heartache. She is supposed to arrive at LAX this Friday, July 4th. I can't imagine my frustration if I would have actually showed up at LAX to pick her up and she never arrived. I am embarrassed enough in front of my friends and family, whom I had told about this "wonderful" Russian girl.
Thank you for alerting other possible victims to the method of operations of this heartless person or persons.
