Report N1

Valeria is what I call a "professional dater" and has upped her skills by using dubious tactics to "help friends" settle in Kharkov. I met Valeria through a Blossoms friend on my visit to Ukraine last May, and she opened her Blossoms.com account last Summer. In may she initially showed some inclination towards being greedy by overinflating taxi fares (pocketing the extra) and ordering the highest priced items on the menus in restaurants. On my arrival at the train station the end of October, she said the baggage handlers needed 40 grivnah to carry my two bags from the train to the apartment agent's car, about 5 minutes work. I was exhausted from a 13 hour train ride, I guess she knew that I wanted everything to go easy. Of course, she paid them out of my sight. Note that people in this country who work are happy to get 250 grivnah A MONTH! She revealed more of her true inclinations when I asked her to assist in my locating an apartment in Kharkov. This is not an example of a relationship gone wrong, there has never been any romantic interest implied. The worse example is when an apartment price went from $120- $200 a couple days before I left Kyiv, to $500 three days before my arrival. There is no chance things "changed" beyond either of our knowledge over time.
Mind you, I have spent several months in Ukraine, and was not expecting much in the way of quality. But the flat had none of the services I was sold on, some of the facilities did not work, and was far from the promised location. About a week before I was scheduled to leave from my month's stay in the flat, she attempted to extort more money from me. The threats, abusive language and accusations she used are not legal in the U.S.
