Report N1 (added on October, 24, 2008)
I was approached by a young woman (29yrs) who purported herself to be from Pisgah, Ohio. She was responding to an old profile of mine from JustSayHi.
In my response, I assumed she was living in Ohio & had possibly not been successful in one of these Mail Order Bride schemes.
So, befriending her, I asked her how she liked living in Ohio? She didn't respond to this in her first letter or two. Each & every day I would receive 1 letter from her.
After little more than 30 days everything came to an abrupt end when she began pressuring me for $650 for her Visa & Airline tickets. Plus other money for various things & paperwork.
I tried explaining to her that neither Russian law nor American law works this way.
She cannot just obtain a visa & tickets & come to US.
I went through a general explanation with her but she responded as though she did not want to hear this.
She accused me of being afraid & so on.
And so believing this to be a scam, here I am reporting my story to you guys.
