Report N2 (added on April, 23, 2005)
I recieved a letter, (attached ) from Anna. It sounded like a scammer and shes from Russia. I thought I had seen her on the site before and it took some time to find her because she was under different name of Rosa. I did see the same picture that she sent me as was posted as rosa so I am reporting an alias that she is using.

A beautiful younger woman, wholesome in her approach and believable enough when the western mind tries to bridge the inconsistencies of communicating with a very foreign land. The biggest land mine was trying to account for time lapses in communication, although daily, against an eleven hour time difference and the nuances of how long does it take for a message to clear a Russian server.
The scenario is strikingly similar to her profile with some twists.
In this case, jilted at the eleventh hour by a Canadian internet lover faced with the realization that a visa is in place and she is on her way to him. He confesses to married with kids. She is torn apart but after consultation with her mother decides that she will come to Canada anyhow.
Not stated but implied, she is using her life savings to realize a dream for a better life. The date search that found me was on the premise that 'this is how I found you, this is going to happen, I have taken a chance on you, maybe the stars will align us and somehow this may work'.
In first communication after questioning why me, she adeptly describes Russia as a 'strange and inconsistent place'.
The writing is superb and at times I even rationalized to myself that if this is a scam it is so well done and beautifully communicated that it is to be respected.
Unlike other descriptions I have read of scammers, she pays close attention to what is said in every letter and responds seamlessly.
The sting is at the airport after a bus ride to Moscow for 'reception' of visa. She learns of the cash on hand requirement for entrance to Canada and after the potential buying of a ticket would only have USD$550 left and needs USD$1000.
In the beginning I have already unequivocally stated that I have no money.
Faced with a mountain of information and emotion I find the money and wire it to her via Western Union. I then, after the adrenaline rush was over and having to wait for an eleven hour time difference, decide to do a google search on her name and found your site. Having found her name but under a different picture, cancelled the wire and emailed her. Confronted by doubt she responds with a letter of disappointment but patience and complies with my request for photo id via email. The passport and picture are consistent. She leaves the choice to me and is accepting of any decision that I may make. I rewire the money and she vanishes.
Examining all pictures now posted on your site, she may also be "Irina Razumova".

I got burned for over $500.00

I found this young lady on a few different blacklists after she stopped writing to me when I almost demanded to know her last name.
I have attached 5 of the pictures that she sent to me though. Some of the pictures were included in the other lists that I found her on, which is what made me realize she was a scammer.

She found my profile on yahoo personals, and contacted me there. she has recently sent me a message via e-mail , talking about how one of her friends has found love over the net and has married and is now living happily in france with her new hubby. she tells me she is a teacher of kindergarten children, she hasn't asked for money yet, but as i said this is her first letter, hmmmm u know i was born @ nite but not last nite lol. oh by the way she did send a picture and it is the same chick u have a pic of @ the top of this page, except she's in a black dress holding a rose.
