We started talking in june 2004 about 3 months later i was starting to fall for her and she was me i sent her some money to come to me i waited all day at the airport and no galina i was worried i waited a week and i heard that she was held by customs in moscow and she needed more money to pay her debt so i did and then she got mugged and was in hospital all the money was stolen and wanted more.
She presented as being a Christian girl on the Christiancafe site.
Galina started writing to me on 23/10/2004. Galina seems to vary her photos and personality for the target audience, as seen elsewhere on this site. She sent me eight excellent photos of herself.
Galina never asked for money directly but put me in a position whereby I offered to improve communications by sending money for a mobile phone.
Galina asked for money to be sent to her in Cheboksary via Western Union.
When I sent the money I received just one call from her at after 4am Australian time (-after 8pm her time). She has excellent polished spoken Engish with an American accent on top of her Russian. Her spoken English is vastly superior to the garbled English in her emails.
Galina supposedly works from 8:30am to 7:30pm six days a week in Turinsk in a cosmetics shop called MUSE.
Strangely, she supposedly abandons her daily job and goes to Cheboksary to stay with a girlfriend from time to time, thus not working in the shop.
Used this as an excuse to tell me NOT to send a Christmas present in 2004 as she would not be home.
Galina is very evasive when asked ANY factual questions eg her full name, name of family, dates of study etc etc - until on the 10/3/2005 I offered to send money for a mobile phone and sent it. Then I was told she was Galina Fesler Ivanovna. This did not register in a Google search of scammers.
After just one phone call from her and many SMS, I NEVER even once was able to phone her. Every time her phone number responds with a telco message: "The called mobile subscriber is not accepting calls at present."
I can call any Russian mobile for 7.5 cents/minute using a phone card. She insisted that to call me was $US1.5/minute. I have never reached her on even one call.
I risked that small amount of money to explore my suspicions while still giving her the benefit of the doubt that the honest Russian women deserve.
She seemed to fall in love very easily with a much older guy of 52. Galina insisted that her mother demanded that she had to come to Australia instead of my meeting her family in Russia and she would not go against her mother.
When I pointed out that tourist visas for single Russian girls like her are virtually impossible to Australia, Canada and USA, unless it is a fiance visa, she chose another out-pf-country option rather than my go to Russia.
Failing the trip to Australia she then preferred to meet in Paris, not in less expensive and closer cities like Budapest or Prague.
Galina chose the most expensive options for any meeting. These options would have required me to send a lot of money.
on 13/3/2005 I caught her lying about the University she was supposed to have attended for five years to become a teacher: "My university referred to TSPU, that the Turin State Pedagogical University means."
There are two TSPUs in Russia (Tulla and Tomsk). Turin is in Italy and Turinsk is a village near Ekaterinburg of about 22K people.
I received ny first email from her in October 2004 and she dropped me after 10/11/2004 for three months over Christmas after I challenged some apparently contradictory statements she made in different emails about her piano playing. She refused to tell me what pieces she had played. I had to repeatedly request answers to my questions to even get any answers to specific questions.
Galina started writing to me again on the 14/2/2005 claiming to have had computer troubles over the intervening time.
She supposedly lives with her mother and 18 year old brother. She wrote "My mum Alina Nikolaevna. My girlfriend Irina Viktorovna. Fodor, he my brother, at him too a father's patronymic, he Fodor Ivanovich Fesler."
Approach as I did, with great care and ask a lot of questions. Never send money. Certainly do not send money for a ticket and tourist visa as she cannot get a tourist visa for Australia, Canada and USA.
Report N3 (added on May, 7, 2005)
She contacted me on 12-1-04 with a nice seductive and induced letter. We corresponded for several weeks with love letters. she even called me on the phone. IEventually it got to the money issue. I requested copies of identification. she never sent any. I then contacted a flower delivery service to deliver flower to an address she gave. I asked to verify recipient and to send me a photo of her. The delivery service went 2-3 times but could not locate the address she gave me. I snet a postal letter and asked her to let me know when she got it. I told her there was some money inside it. She never replied as to receiving it. It contained a $1.00 bill as a test. She kept writing me that we should marry but she neede money for Visa and application of $500.00. I told her it is impossible to get a tourist visa. She said she has connections in the embassy. I let her know that she needed to fund for her own Visa. I would assist her with airfare after she got the Visa and sent me a copy for verification with USA embassy. No documents ever received. In her last communication she told me she would not write me anymore unless I sent her money. No money sent.

Another one to add to your ever growing list.
*see her letter attached*
Her name is Elvira Sorokina and she lives in Kirova (she says) and I have been listening to her for many months awaiting the money request. I love to string them along and then wait for the (question).
This one is the best I have seen yet in being very patient with writing for many months before finally thinking she has gained my trust. Being a former detective I like to play cat and mouse with them and see how long it takes them to ask me for money.
So her picture I will send next as I cannot attach it to this email.
Hope this helps,
Keep up the good work guys,
Report N5 (added on September, 14, 2006)
Elvira Sorokina is a very sweet, loving conn artist. Luckily I saw the light before I handed over 400 euro to Western Union to fly her here. It was hard to tell from the beginning if she was lying as our correspondance lasted 8 months. About 3 months into our e-mailing, her mother became ill and she seeked my help of a mere 300 euro for her mother's operation. I told her I was a mortgage slave and she backed down. Then she lost contact for 3 months and she came back, telling me her mother died and maybe laying in a bit of guilt too. After another month of absent e-mails, she informed me that doctors had insisted that she go into care for while. Away she went for a month and now she's back, all refreshed lookin to fly to her Prince Charming. She always knew I was the one, the man of her dreams, so strong, so loving la la la. Stunning looking girl whoever it is. DON'T BE FOOLED.

Report N7 (added on January, 11, 2008)
We wrote to each other about 2 months, I invited her to visit me. Then she told me, that she will need 600 Euro for visa fees and travel documents. I had a nice laugh and immediately stopped any contact to her. Then she started writing emails again. I searched the web then, finding her profile on a several anti scamming sites... So I turned it into a funny game now, asking personal questions about her and her family. She never answers them...;-)
