Greetings all,

I hope that someone here can help me out:

I am in contact with a young lady who quite frankly seems too
good to be true. Being a suspicious person by nature, I decided
to confront the lady with the fact that I do not believe she is who
she claims to be. Upon the confrontation, she has bombarded me
with fresh pictures, including a couple in which she has my name
written on her hand. She has literally gone out of her way to prove
that she is genuine. She is also adamant that she wants nothing
(i.e. money) from me. She is ready to skype and talk on the phone,
although I have never asked her to. Still, her declarations of love
strike me as being somewhat theatrical.

The lady will soon be moving to my country and has told me that
she looks forward to meeting me. I believe my demeanour has made it
amply clear to her that she won't be getting anything from me. Even
so, she is as persistent as ever.

I did do a background check on the lady and could not find anything
on her in scammer directories. This is all very confusing. Of course,
the romantic in me would very much like this lady to be real, whereas
on the other hand I find it impossible to let go of my suspicions.

What do you guys think?

Regards,
Hermit

She's probably playing the long game somehow. Will probably ask you for marriage so she can stay in the country when she meets you.

I think this is maybe a scammer.

But I would have to go check the photos to tell for sure.

I think too she is playing cleverly, finding a sensitive argument for the man`s potential distrust
If I were you, I wouldn`t have told her that I feared she could be a scammer, I mean you should keep it for yourself, basically you offered her the chance to find tools to make you believe she is not, like that photos
