Yay, this girl has contacted me through Yahoo personals, where I placed a profile to see what it would pull in :) From what I understand, Svetlana Smirnova is a Russian actress, well maybe there are two of them :D In anycase, I'm going along with the game, because I think some new variety of scam maybe forthcoming. let you all know soon.

No match. I can't find my girl on any lists, she's either new or weirdly genuine. Although her mails have scam written all over them.

I'll post a link to some pics shortly, if Mr Admin doesn't mind :)

A dear friend of mine just narrowly avoided a scam by a woman calling herself Svetlana Timanova, I did a yahoo search on her name after becoming suspicious of her asking him for so much money ( 800 for her visa) so quickly, and proclaiming her love for him so quickly. She claimed to be coming to the US to marry him. Could this be the same woman? The names are similar. She claimed to be from Kazan, Russia

AlexB

There are numerous scammers located in Kazan. Notably Nina Simonova and her various aliases, such as Olga Yudakova, Anna Timoschenko. I have been following her career with interest. Judging by the pictures I've seen, she's been at it for about eight years or more.

Names mean little, pictures more. Search on Google for black listings.

Guys I know that this address is from a scammer, but I want to know where she is, according to her she is in Vladisvostock. I ran a check on an ip adress locater, that came up with Berlin and the message says Mariel. I know that the Russians have experimented with thought control before but when we can't really pinpoint where they are how can we do anything. She used to use an internet but I see she is using a dail-up now, so i assume that someone sent her some money. It was not me!

Thank you,I was going to have some fun anyway. Now she is calling herself "my bride". Must of been one hell of a bachalor party, cause I don't remember being in Russia!TIme to see just how bad I can get her going. By the way, people who send money to scammers deserve what they get. They should think first, take a cold shower and think again. And not all woman in the FSU are scammers. And some women are poor and want to change thier lives. Look at the numbers. I think all the lists should be rolled into one, then you would have an accurate list. I could just see the websites combining their assets. If you must send money overseas, just send it to me!

So Yoshkar Ola is the place huh? That is where I traced my lady's phone number to. Like you rightly say, these girls think we are all so Duh. I am surprised to see that so many guys have spent so much cash on these scam bags. These girls must be making some good dough. If some of them have been at it for 8 years.

AlexB
06-28-2005, 03:21 PM
Hi Randy, or me, I am in more need. The total of cash scammed from Westerners in general will never be known. I reckon it must run into Millions in various currencies.

Sure, there are genuine girls in the FSU, but first you have to navigate an ocean of scam. And if you do find a genuine girl, careful what you write, believe me, they take offence very easily.

Cheers

Well now sam,

Some are girls working their own ticket, some are groups of girls, and some are girlfriends of male scam artists. I think that the Yoshker-Ola scammers are men, and the girls just do what they are told.

Alex_b You should only tell any woman the truth, and not what you percieve to be the truth, any woman that i write know that as for as cash goes, I am wxtremely selfish. As far as love or fellings that will come when and if I go to meet them. But I will not participate in one of the meet market types of tours. This may be a great way to meet some prime flesh, but basing a relationship on a two or three day party is not for me. Likewise the younger women. I really prefer women of my age and have met some that are intelligent. But you must keep your sentences clear and short. If you use a phrase that might be misunderstood. use parenthesis to seperate it. And ask political views, even if you don't give a rat's ass about it. You are asking her to think, most of the people don't do that. Make small comments about her pictures. When sending or posting pictures, look at the lens of the camara. When a woman looks at it she will see your eyes. If you have a gentlemans club in your area (cheap, not the expensive ones) go there and practice listening and looking into a dancer's eyes. Why? to give the impression of listening, ask questions.
And one last thought... women of the FSU are just like American women. The dating agencies are scamming you. Even the famous lady. I wish some of the men who married russian women would take pictures of thier wifes in the morning and post them.got off the subject there but what the hell

Hi man,

Well, I take your point. I signed up with a few agencies, but I have never paid one of them to answer a single mail from any women. I just don't trust them, most of them are made up by the agencies for the extraction of readies.

You know I talk everynight on messenger with my friend in Baku, and three nights ago, I asked if if she was drunk as a joke. Result, big sulk for two nights, she's back now. They just don't understand Western humour I guess. And unlike western girls, sex talk is big no no. Your right, you have to engage them on the intellectual level, makes them feel valued as a person and not a sex object.

Thanks my friend, I have a new one online now, don't recognise her and so far I haven't found her on any black lists. However, she contacted me through Yahoo personals with the very same letter of introduction as Sveta did. Her follow up mail is rather different, first time I've been given a numbered list of specific questions to answer. I think I'll play, her IP goes back to volgatelecom, Mar-El by some strange coincidence ;)

Good idea, but be careful. Mafia has a strong presence there, and I believe that corruption is rife among the law and order boys.

Every scam trail I've followed recently goes back to Yoshkar-Ola. I only wish I could find one that led to somewhere else. I'm running the track results past another person. I won't know until tomorrow the details. But basically, the mail is being routed via the Moscow internet comp's servers.

Hey Alex,
I'm new here. Just wondered if you could help me out a little. I've been in corresp. with a girl from Pskov. Her name is Anastaiya. Hasn't mentioned her last name(I haven't asked for it). After many emails, still no request for $. She hasn't "fallen in love with me" yet. No immediate desire to visit me in the US. Even answers lots of the questions I ask her. She sends a new pic of her in every letter. Modestly attractive in normal house hold type photos. Nothing racey or bikini shots as some I see in the blacklists. Emails seem as genuine as any from prospects in the US. She claims to be writing me from a computer at her place of employment. Claims to be Russian state employee. She claims to make "good money (800-900 rubles/month) & is even able to save" some. I haven't been able to find her in any blacklists or scams yet. Anyway, I saw your post concerning tracking IP's. I'll paste what I have below & wondered if you can educate me on what I'm looking at.....? I've tried to research "etabank.com" but haven't been able to find anything("website under construction"). This IP belongs to yahoo.com. california. I have never heard of etabank. The page under construction might as well not be there as it means nothing. Looks like a red herring to me. That is her e-mail. swallow@etabank.com ? something wrong here.

By all means, communicate, but do not send anything at all. I will look at this further.

As I thought, pure scam,it's only a matter of time. Read on fishn.

' Anastasiya (Krasnodar Territory, Golovinka Village, Russian Federation)

Thank you for you ebooks and information. I was on Yahoo Personals and got an Email from an Anastasiya. She said she was from Krasnodar Territory, Golovinka Village. She has not sent a phone number not even from her work. She said that she works at dental clinic. Her email address is solaris@etabank.com. She sent a postal address. It is Sadovaia 8-2, 354202 Golovinka, Russian Federation. She has given me several pictures and I am enclosing an attachment with a photo. The problems is the IP is not from where she says she lives. Can you help me clear this up? Thank you. Felix '

How can you possibly try to trace a lady on scammer lists when you do not know her full name? or her address ? the address she uses apparently will have her business info not her own

The point here is not to look for the scammer name, but run a check on Etabank. That yielded a rich crop of scammers. Also, if she was mailing from work lol, and she works for a Bank lol, why don't they have their own servers ? Routing the traffic through Yahoo is a smokescreen .

I think I'm dealing with the same girl. I Googled her email address and wound up here. I'm glad I did. The profile and email address is the same. She says she wants to visit me in America. Claims she's applying for a visa. She hasn't asked for any money, yet. Is that coming? What's the scam???

Hey Alex,
I'm new here. Anything seem fishy? Thanks in advance.

I guess I'm ignorant to this whole concept. I can see trying to scam me out of money, but why go through all this trouble of sending letters and pictures if she can't get a visa? What's the catch? My poor little brain is having trouble absorbing this. Hell, I never intended to get involved with a Russian girl untilll she started sending me emails.

I am making an assumption that you are from the USA? If so, the ONLY way that she will get a visa is if you have met her in person, have proof of that, go through the process of obtaining a Fiance visa or you have married her in her country and are going to bring her back to the USA as your wife. Both methods above take 3 to 6 months or longer. She WILL NOT get a tourist visa or any other type of Visa to the US. The embassy will not give them out. The above two ways are the way to get her over here. DO NOT send money for any reason! She can't get a Visa no matter how much you send! Put you money back in your pocket and think with the head on your shoulders! She contacted yo to scam you! Read the scam reports here and see for yourself.

Thanks for educating me, John. Yes, I am from the U.S.A. I was not aware of the process. Like I said, I wasn't out looking for a Russian girl. I guess the request for money will come eventually. Well, I'm not going to Russia and neither is my money. Too bad, she was a looker.

Not a problem! I made the mistake in the past and learned from experience. We are all here to assist others in not making those mistakes. Most of the scammers are lookers - at least by what they send you. It is possible a man is communicating with you using a women's picture. They are know to do that as well. Be VERY, VERY careful when dealing with anyone from other there. An honest woman will NEVER ask you for money, gifts or anything. Most use pre-written letters and just replace the names prior to sending. Trust no one!

Best of luck to you!
