quote:I've only got two replies from these guys. One said thanks for the warning, and the other said something like, "Just cause you are unhappy doesn't mean you have to make everyone else unhappy".
well, as i said, many MOB-seekers are...weird. IF information of the extent and depth available today had been available to me long ago, I would probably not have been scammed once, and fooled online many times.
I found out that most of these weird men hate information, and people trying to spread it, more than scammers.
Information bursts their bubble, spoils their fantasy and exposes their delusion, therefore they become angry and frustrated.
They accuse you of any wrongdoing, from being "envious", to being "unhappy and wanting to drag everyone down to feel better", to "having agenda", to slanderous accusations of very personal nature.
Come on Barney, and Pedro, Wong and Jamal...
Do you idiots really believe that it is a figment of my imagination suggesting that 21yo beauty pageants you are writing to squandering your disability/welfare check oh, sorry... [)][:0] money from your seven zeroes Swiss coded account is "saving herself for you" and has no domestic boyfriend?
Why is it so hard to believe that she's seeing Kimbo, hardened African thug from Harlem with genital herpes, in two hours?
Which damn planet do you live on?
    Envious?
I wouldn't part all the Wongs or Pedros, Jamals or Barneys in this world from a Ford escort for a billion dollars... and i know for sure your billions and glamour jobs can probably be junk-packed into a ten cents box of matches anyways...
    Unhappy?
My life is far from perfect, but I can admit it; you who bray endlessly about how "just awesome" yours is, are online bragging and seeking MOBs...hardly a "men's health" or "Forbes magazine" demeanor...

I think the best service is rendered to lurkers and anonymous surfers, not the restricted clique that dominates most MOB forums.
Seems odd, but even these days you get people asking "She told me her granny needs a new lives; her uncle at the travel agency can procure one for $300 but I shall act FAST, or she'll have to be trafficked into prostitution in a Turkish brothel, and she loves me and has none to turn to".

Every person who uses online dating sites must to know!

    Most important:

    1) SCAM ? WHAT IS IT?
Some person asks for money. You send. This person steals your money and disappears.

    2) WHO RUNS SCAM?
90% by hackers group, 9% by fake translation agencies, 1% by real women who would like to use your money for free travels and other staff.

    3) WHAT SHOULD I DO IF SOMEBODY ASKS FOR MONEY?
Do not send any money!!! Send us a note via our contact us form about this case. We?ll put this profile to black lists.

    4) JUST ONE RULE!
Do not send any money!!! If you will send - 100% you will lost them.

    Additional ANTI-SCAM questions and information:

    5) My lady sent me scan of her passport and visa. She is real, for sure! She just needs some money for trip!
You do not should think about if this profile is real or not, she has some problem with her ill parents or not, she has some financial problems or not etc. No doubts it is SCAM! SCAMmers are great psychologists and they have tons of stories and tools to grab your money. Just remember, if somebody asks you for money it is 100% SCAM and this profile must be black listed.

    6) Fake translation agencies. What is it?
After several messages with some lady you receive a message like this:
?Dear, Name! We inform you that Miss X is using our translation company. We help with the translation and in Internet correspondence with you. She really interested in you and wants continue correspondence and relations with you. Please pay us??. Do not send any money!!! Send us a note via our contact us form about this case. We?ll put this profile to black lists.

    7) Why your site allows to SCAMmers put their profiles into your site?
SCAMmers act like regular members when they create their profiles. We do use our Anti-SCAM control and delete many profiles during registration. But it is not possible to detect 100% of SCAM profiles at very first step. If somebody asks you for money, do not send any money!!! Send us a note via our contact us form about this case. We?ll put this profile to black lists.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RBrides has always had an "anti-scammer policy" posted on their site. But their anti-scam policy is like me denouncing alcohol as I crack open my upteenth beer of the night!!!! In fact, the old anti-scam policy linked you to their sister site, Site2Date!!! Is the "new and improved" one any better? I have a little fun webpage. If I put up a link to Alocholics Anonymous, does that mean I'm a "good boy" now???[)][8D]

I was on that site for a while. 99.9% scammers!!!! I reported several of them. One who had tried to scam me before, and is posted here, and on several anti-scam sites as far back as 2004. It took days if not at least a week or two and several complaints to have the profiles removed, and then the scammer was back a few days later with a new name and home city.[:0][B)]

This particular scammer actually had two profiles running at the same time on RBrides. The only difference between RBrides and UALadys(now UADreams), is the price of admission.[V]

    Scamfree,

don't you mind us oldtimers being a bit cynical about the whole thing. Been there, done that (well, maybe not completely, but I was THAT close).

We can get repetitive or have our little fun, but I feel, that you're mostly doing the good work.

    just a one question...

WHY YOU ARE SITTING ON THESE DATING SITES, IF YOU THINK THAT ALL THERE IS SCAM??? YOU NEVER THOUGHT THAT MAYBE BETTER TO FIND SOMEBODY IN REAL LIFE? Because just sitting and writing this or that girl is scam - will not help you!!! One more i cannot understand...you are looking for a girl in Ukraine or Russian, where the standards of living is very low, where girls who can go abroad at their own expense ... can counted on the fingers! Why you still communicate with these girls and then say, she asked me money, she is scamer!
