Report: Travel/visa scam
I have been communicating with svetlana for about 2 months now and as yet she has not asked for any money. I am still presently talking with her and was very surprised to see her photo on your site, I am very dissapointed at this time but will do my utmost best to supply you with information about our communications. She says that she is a nurse at the local hospital in tuzha and goes to the internet of cafe for our letters daily. I am still in touch with her at present.
Name: Natalya Belova
Aka: Natasha, Natalia, Evgeniya
Location: Sanchursk Russia
On web sites: Lavalife
Report: Like all the Russian scammers on Lavalife, she used a different country as place of residence. I contacted her as she claimed to be in my old country of England. Straight away she said she was in Sanchursk, Russia, and did I mind. Well, No, her english is rough but readable. At first she used the name Natasha, but one day signed off as Natalia, so I questioned her about this, then it came back as Natalya and stayed that way until another day a letter was signed 'your loving wife, Evgeniya'. Her response to this was that it was the name on the lady,s badge at the Internet cafe and that she had written it inadvertently. Yeah! right! I had to demand a name and birthday or I would stop writing. I received back the name of Natalya Belova, D.O.B. 8th Feb 1979. making her 30 years of age at the time. but in some letters she was 28! The final straw came when she again told me her height and weight, 175cm, 62kg. Not bad, but only 2 months before she was 171cm, 59kg. In 2 months she had grown 4cm, gained 3kg, and was nearly 3 years younger. She never directly asked me for an amount of money but hinted that it would be nice if I could help her out. When I asked about posting mail to her she replied the mail system was corrupt and would do so, or provide an address for me to send anything. When I offered to fly there to meet her she said it was to dangerous for me. She only wanted to come to me, but played dumb when it came to knowing what a passport was or other travel documents and visas. I don't know how many people were operating as this person, but they were smooth operators, smart enough not to ask you directly for cash, but wait for you to offer it. Beware this one. Nearly every letter came with a different photo of the same pretty young woman. I don't know who it was but I did genuinely find her attractive. What a Bummer. Fortunately for me I did not part with any money, she was inconsistent from the start, but I have no doubt she/they will be smarter with the next person they try and scam.
