Classic scam, Purports to quickly fall in Love with you after only a few letters, then can't wait to meet you and asks for money for travel and Visa.
I recieved 3 emails and pictures from her, then i recieved a email from a translator stating that she was over her amount and if i wished to help her to contact them. I havent.
Report N3 (added on April, 27, 2005)
She responded to me from Date, after I sent an email to her thinking she a local girl. In her sent email she sent a picture that was identical to one on this site and I knew she was a scam for sure. So I sent a link and simple ask for her explantion...no reply.
Report N4 (added on May, 7, 2005)
I have been contacted by this woman named Diana from Russia. She is under the profile dianatop80 at the Cupidbay.com website. She made the first contact. I answered to just see who or what she was. I have recieved many photos of her and letters that could be addressed to anyone. None of these letters are personalized to me by name. I'm either called lovely or her King. She never has asked directly for money but, is always hinting for me to send her money. This must be the new way scammers obtain money from people. I definately haven't or will send her any money.
Report N5 (added on May, 7, 2005)

Well I told her how I was taken,by another scammer and she beat around the bush by not saying anything about it in her next letter,it made me suspisous,so I looked the email address up on a search and found your website.
Report N7 (added on June, 18, 2005)
This woman sent me a e-mail from a dating site, said she was from california then I found out from Russia. Was asking for $680 for airfare and visa. Said she found a coin from 1700s and she was going to give it to me when she arrived. Don't send this woman any money a real scammer.
Report N8 (added on June, 25, 2005)
They started e-mailing me about a month ago. I almost fail for the scam.
Report N9 (added on June, 25, 2005)
This woman is very, very good. This is as classic a scam as there is. She told me all the right things that are in the scam "things to watch for" sections. I have been writing this woman for about 3 weeks.
1)She fell in love with me after about 3 letters. Started talking about money in about letter #5.
2)She had a dream about us.
3)She told me how she was discussing our relationship with her father, the aunt she lives with, friends.
4)She said she could only vacation in July and August because of her work, so she needed money right now for a ticket so she could get visa. But I told her I couldn't have her here during those months, and she still insisted on the money for a visa even after she told me she couldn't come in September or October.
5)She avoided answering many of my direct questions. She wrote in very vague generalities.
6)She would not provide a phone number and said it was impossible to speak directly.
7)When I told her I wanted to come to Russia to meet her she gave me a lot of static about how impossible that was.
8)She fold me on a dating site and left a message to email her directly.
9)As one of your other submitters reported she found a very valuable coin, and saw it as a sign of luck and good fortune for our future.
10)When I offered to pay for a ticket here for her she gave me a run around about how hard that was going to be for her to get the visa.
Report N10 (added on June, 28, 2005)
I met this girl on lavalife and she asked for my email address...so I gave it to her. After a month of talking with her online, she started talking about coming out here and she wanted to marry me. She asked for money for her papers to go through.....that is when I looked up russian scams. Thank god!
Report N11 (added on July, 19, 2005)
What can I say...?
The usual same things as what happened to all the other guys who are dreaming and hoping to find the Love of their life on the site !!
Exactly same letters written to me as to other guys.
She starts falling in Love, she wants ticket, visa, money sent flight info and wait for money !
Of course she found a precious piece of money dated 1780's at her aunts house but has no money besides that !!
Then when you confront her with the facts.....she still continue telling me that this is all a misstake and denies everything !!
Thats the hardest and perhaps the funniest part of all.
This shows how we guys are sometimes sooo simple to be fooled around, because or heart is open but or mind closed and our eyes BLIND !!!
Thanx for your site to clear things up and save us some money...!
Report N12 (added on September, 6, 2005)
Starts out as innocent letters and soon goes to i love you i want tobe with you. then she tells you about her aunt working in travel agencey. she then tells you she has paid for visa and passport and needs your help for airfare and insurance. pleads trust the russian girl. she swears she will stay with you forever.
Report N13 (added on September, 30, 2005)
I NEED YOUR HELP - I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS A SCAM.
I have been in contact with this person for about a week now. Her letters are nice and she is very beautiful. After reading about the scammers, I think that 'If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is'.
Well, one thing that is suspect to me is a letter that she sent me that was (except for the first couple of lines) an exact duplicate of a previous letter. Another thing is that in some of the pictures, she is wearing clothing with English on them. I think it is possible, but am not sure.
All of her pictures look very good, almost too good. They almost look professional.
She does answer my questions and has not asked for anything 'yet'. I have gotten her to tell me that she does not need any translation, so there won't be any translation fees.
When I asked her for pictures of her mother, she told me that her mother doesn't like being in them and now her camera is broken. Also, they had a fire in their previous apartment and all of the old pictures are gone.
One other thing is that she has told me about how her family has a garden that she helps with. I noticed that she has manicured acrylic finger nails. Kind of difficult to keep nails so nice and work in a garden.
I found her name on this site, but it was not the same picture. I am waiting for her contact info to see if it matches the address for the other girl who does have an address in Tomsk.
Mabe this site will be able to help me and keep me from doing something stupid.
My only consolation (if it is a scam), is that if the pics are real and when she starts asking for money - I will start asking for her to show more skin. That might be fun.

I found this girl (Kyrva) on yahoo personals. She claims to be from Manor Delaware. She admits later to be living in Russia (Cheboksary). She said she used Manor De because yahoo does not accept international users. As soon as she informed that she was from Cheboksary, i wanted to see where it was located in Russia. I typed the city on yahoo search engine and discovered there was a lot of listings for scammer warnings. I looked into it, and discovered the Russian black list. That's when i saw Kyrva/Natalia.

Report N21 (added on November, 7, 2006)
Hi....I first met this so-called "Angel" on Y! Personals. There are TONS of women on Y! Personals who say they live in Virginia & the Eastern Shore (Kellam, VA), but actually are from Russia and Nigeria. "Angel" is one of them from Russia (Cheboksary).
Now, I'll give this ole scammer a little credit; she never asked for money "yet." But the conversation was friendly; she was already reported on this site under Elena from Russia with one of her 20 e-mails: nimfomanka1980@yahoo. She seemed to be more interested in chatting about family & friends and sent about 10 pictures; one per e-mail. She wanted to meet in Europe for a date.
She did the same "fall-in-love" via e-mail routine as the other Russian and Ukraine scam artists, which is sooo fake. Ask yourselves, men of USA and Europe, how can a person "fall-in-love" in e-mail only, w/o ever meeting you?
We talked via e-mail from June 30, 2006- August 12, 2006. She sent 8 e-mails and I did 6 responses. She and countless other foreign girls have been targeting Y! Personals BIG-time! She has has several profiles: All saying she is from either Norfolk, Raleigh, Chicago or other U.S. cities. So beware Y! Personal men! *smile* :) I sent all her photos to the Stop-Scammers staff.
I will share "Angel's" "angelic" e-mails with the "I love yous"...if anyone is interested. *wink* I am not knocking all foreign nation women, because I believe there are good ones out there; just beware of Russia, Ukraine, Nigeria, Mali women or any women from Kellam, VA (Eastern Shore).
I know there is a BIG trend today for USA and EU men and military men looking for foreign wives because of their search for "traditional" wives, since modern American and Europe women from our own countries have "feministic" women who do not wish to marry or be traditional wives anymore. Traditional wives still exist just none of the girls on this site! *hehe* So beware and be careful!!!

I asked and in the next letter there was no response. my second letter I told her I was involved with someone else and could not write anymore and reived a letter about how happy she was I replied! the pictures I recieved are on several other scamm sites that belong to a russian modle and are stolen.
Report N24 (added on May, 16, 2007)
She first contacted me on the Blossoms site. Said she was attracted to my writing style. She is quite convincing but within 3 or 4 letters she was madly in love with me. On the 5th letter came the request to help her come and be with me. She claims she needs $1500 to get all her documents and plane tickets. I told her it would be easier if I came to see her but she claims it is a small community and she doesn't want people gossiping about her. Her pictures are beautiful but I was suspicious so I told her it would take me some time to get the money. When the day came for me to have the cash available I told her that there was a setback and it would be another month or two before I could send her the money. She said she understood and didn't mind waiting but I haven't heard from her since. I contacted the Blossoms site but they had already removed her ad and warned that I be cautious about talking to her further. She even sent me a copy of her passport which I believe is fake. She is very convincing and her pictures are beautiful but beware of this lady.

I knew this would turn into a scam. She has a freind who married an American man and is visting her freinds parents, now he is going to pay for her to come see me. The only problem is his money is in a bank in America, and has to be there in person to get any money, but he can some how transfer it into my account and I can send it, all they need is my accout info.
Report N26 (added on August, 3, 2007)
She somehow found my yahoo e-mail adress. It is possible that the website Moipourtoi gives e-mail adresses they have.
She is a typical scammer using The Bat! mailing software. Never answered any of my question. After several mails asked for money to pay a trip to visit me.
Her real IP address is hidden. The one that appears (220.127.116.11) points to the United States.

Says she is from Kazan and studied to be in the medical profession. But since there is no money in medicine she now works as a croupier in a Casino.
Of course, many problems arise in the casino shortly after she falls in love with me and wants to visit. Her boss and his niece are conspiring against her and she ust leave the job beofre she has had time to save enough money to visit.
She says she needs 470 Euro and asks that I send her the money via MoneyGram only to her name without any address. The money is needed to give to an agency to get heer a visitor visa to Canada. WoW! For a $75 visa an agency wants 470 Euro. I am in the wrong business!
She claism that the agency has connections and can get the Visa in just 15 days - a Visitor Visa for a single Russian woman without any visible means of support? I think noy!

Asked for travel money from Moscow to USA to stay for 6 months then travel back to Russia.
Report N34 (added on March, 22, 2011)
The classic scenario: We exchanged 6-7 emails (almost everyday, for a week) she told me about growing up in Angarsk, Siberia how she wanted a better life in Europe or US and was planning a 3 month trip as work experience in order to meet a "kind man" with the prospects of getting married in the future, and having a family. It was a nice story and it sounded quite genuine. I googled some of the information she was giving me initially about Angarsk and its was pretty consistent. During our emails she travelled from Angersk to Moscow and told me about movies, plays she had watched during the day, she asked if I had heard of Chekhov, etc. She spoke of kindness, forgiveness, god, morality, how she hated wars, politicians and blamed them for all the evil in this world. She was good I nearly fell for it. It is definately a woman involved and she sounded quite lonely. Called me honey all the time and developed an affection for me. She must have liked me. Her English was not bad, a few mistakes here and there. The email where she asked for $990 to help her fly from Moscow to London (a flight which costs normally around $380) said that she would ask only once for my help and I had 2-3 days to send it via Western Union or Moneygram or she would lose all the money she had already paid to the travel agency she had booked with. She tried to make it sound like it was an emergency so I would send the money really quickly. She even sent me a scan of her passport. I would ask her specific questions and she wouldn't answer them in her next email, she would just send me the next message with an update (Hi Honey, you won't believe it but I am in Moscow). It just didn't really make any sense in the end cause she didn't have enough money do do this 3 month trip that she was talking about in the begining. I was quite disappointed it turned out to be a scam. Thank you Elena for playing with my soul for one week.
