Report N1 (added on October, 23, 2013)

We met on Connecting Singles dating site and I initiated contact.
We talked for two months via phone and yahoo messenger when I decided to come visit her in Shenzhen. I booked flight, hotel and got Chinese visa. All conversations were normal. I did assist her in getting her work visa renewed ($1300) instead of the school getting it/paying for it for her and the school would hold on to her passport which would never allow her to travel anytime in the future. She worked full time as an elementary school English teacher at Shenzhen Experimental School making $750 per month.
Then one day she mentioned that she was talking her friends who told her she can get a USA visa. So I canceled my airfare and hotel and helped her get her USA visa and airfare ($1400). She supposedly went to the airport as scheduled but was detained by immigrations for having a gold bar in her luggage that she could not prove was hers due to lack of certificate of ownership. She said the gold bar was handed down to the family from generation to generation and there were no papers. She also stated that she got into China from the Philippines (where she is originally from) without any hassle from immigrations 2 years ago and that she did not know the true value of the gold bar. I know...bullshit..but by then the damage was done.
