Report N1 (added on June, 1, 2005)

Natalia emailed from a profile on Single me that I had posted. All her emails have been very leading that each one says she's fallen more in love with me. She regularly fails to answer questions unless I number them, and then they are usually one or two word replies. Content in emails that I send usually do not get any response. I was curious the other day about the town she lives in, so I qoogled it, well you can guess what popped up. natalia! Also, after a couple of weeks she will tell you that she isn't into long correspondence and that she wants to come to you. Her next letter will tell you that she has checked with the Ekaterinburg travel agency (EVA) and found the cost of the visa and passport to come to you. She tells you that she is going to find out the cost of the airplane ticket. Her next email is the sob story of not being able to afford the ticket. that she loves you very much and needs your help. Her next letter tells you that a about a girl friend that has birthday, the next one tells you she will asks help from her cousin on how you can send money for ticket. Which of course the next one is followed by email telling you how to send money by western union and information that is necessary. She tries to convince you that the EVA can bypass the visa procedures because they do so much business with the US. Fortunately I am old enough, and like to think I'm smart enough to see through this little scam. I have not let on yet that I'm suspicious of her yet.

She claims to be from a small town. However her profile(s) on American singles has changed where she says she lives as well as a few other minor details. I was contacted by American singles about her. She is also listed on the site however the pics are very different. However the letters are almost the same. She has requested that I send money but I have sent nothing.

Report N5 (added on August, 26, 2005)

I am located in Eastern Canada. I was first contacted by "Olga Lobanova" of Sorochino. I was on Date site, which is affiliated with Americansingles. The first 2 letters appeared sweet and relatively innocent enough. Details about family and so on. The 3rd was a bit more intimate and then the first "red flag". Her mother died at her childbirth.
Next 2 letters are even more intimate and descriptions of how bad Russian men are and how we (I) in the west seem so compassionate. She discusses buying a book about my area and going to an internet club each day to check for emails from me. She reports to have no phone and lives with her aunt. The father lives elsewhere but is very caring.
Second red flag, the English although somewhat broken is fairly good. Some miss spellings and missing adverbs or adjectives. But then large words are spelled right and used in the correct context. Also questions I post are not answered. For instance she says she wants to have a family. I can't (had 'em cut years ago) and I question her on this. She simply ignores it on more than one occasion.
Then here it comes the big trip to Canada. I suggest I go to see her. She ignores that. Then She suggests that she come to me. She has saved some money but it is not nearly enough. She needs $XXX to come and can I send it via Western Union. My reply is I will buy the tickets from here and send them. Totally ignores that and asks for the funds needed to go to the OVA (Omsk Visa Agency). They will handle all the arrangements easily.
Careful guys this one can write a pretty good story and after a bad day at work you could do something stupid. Thank god for "Google". I'm not done with this one yet. We'll see how long I can string this out.

She contacted me and she fell in love in just one week. She is insisting to come here to USA. She is using different pictures. She never respond what you asked for, this was my second suspicious.
