Report N1

She wrote to me telling me that she had found my profile at a local agence. It was true that I had delt with this agency before. We began correspondence which lasted from March, 2003 until November when we were supposed to meet.
I got all the usual stuff, photos, letters telling me how I was her dream blah, blah, blah.
The new twist was that I should make all arrangements through Sputnik Tours. First I should buy her a ticket to our meeting in Budapest cost: $190. plus a visa Cost: $46.. Then ooops, sorry, her International passport was about to expire, but can be reinstated for $110.
Then, of course there is the matter of ground transportation from Lugansk to Kiev so she can catch her flight, cost: $110. Then, ooops again, she will need to show that she has living expenses of at least $50./day when she crosses the border, cost: $200.
Sputnik assurred me that air and bus tickets were issued with the restriction that they could not be cashed in by anyone other than me so I felt a little safer. After the scam was apparent I tried to get my money for these tickets back from Sputnik Tours but they ignored my requests. I have seen scams before, but this is the first time that I have seen scams fronted by a travel agency.
