Trying to get money to come to U.S to visit.

Report N2

Not sure why she started emailing me, but sends letters in broken English. The letter I just got told of the tragic death of her father.
I'm getting the feeling she's setting me up for the scam.

Report N3 (added on March, 29, 2005)

All signs point to basic scam scenario. eternal love. Need $350 USD for visa. etc. I sent flowers to address given. When order was cancelled, phoned courier co. For explanation and was informed that said person did not exist there. She contacted me thru yahoo.personals

Has not scammed me, however I would like to know if she is real. Comming on too strong.
She is too perfect and expressing feelings of deep love.

Report N5 (added on April, 2, 2005)

This one gets confusing. Maria actually sent me the exact same letters already found under the name Elena Yelyanova and some more pictures as well. She wrote in very broken English and wrote everyday for 9 days. She didn't get to the money part until late. I figured it was a scam so I have been searching your sight and found her picture under Natalya Unknown from Nizhny Novgorod. Here's the confusing part. The letters under Natalya actually have identical information to letters I have received from another girl named Nadia. I also found these same letters under the name Tatyana Malahova ith still a different picture. Oh what a tangled web.

Report N6 (added on April, 2, 2005)

She contacted me through a singles website. We began communicating and she "fell for me" within 3 or 4 letters. She wanted to come see me but needed money. I did not send any money to her.

Report N7 (added on April, 20, 2005)

She found me on yahoo personals. With in a few letter and exchange of photos later, the pressure (under real love?) began to build in her letter. Then the details about what/how much and the wierdest of them all.
NOT to come to her first as this would be against Russian tradition, and upset her ill mother very much...Never a phone call despite many attemts to hear a voice.

Report N8 (added on April, 23, 2005)

Maria contacted me through Yahoo personals in March 2005.
Altogether, she has sent me 14 e-mails and pictures plus 2 picures of "her city". She "fell in love with me" early on, spoke of trust, understanding , and being able to "lean on me in difficult times" (which basically meant supplying money). She didn't ask for it until the 10th e-mail, needing $350 for travel to Mowcow and visa expenses. She never did get back to me about airfare to the US even though she asked for my nearest airport so her "cousine in the travel bureau" could help her with travel plans. She still has written to me even though I informed her that I knew she was a scammer from the beginning. She tells me that she loves me, is in love with me, and that "I of her not to lose". I never sent her any pictures, no address, or phone number, just basic information about me. She seems to be very persistent. Maybe she'll send me the nude photo I've been asking for all this time?

Report N9 (added on April, 27, 2005)

She contacted me through Yahoo personals, claiming to be an orphan whose parents had died a few years before in a car accident.

She "fell in love with me" within a couple of emails, and started asking for money to pay for a visa, plane tickets, and traveling money. Always included pictures in her emails, including the first one she sent to me.

If you do a search on yahoo and google with the yahoo email address, you will find a LOT of websites which list many pictures, names, emails addresses, and personal addresses she has used.

I never sent her money, so of course her emails abruptly stopped.

Does anyone know what her real identity is? I have been told that some places use models' pictures while other pictures are truly the scammers themselves.

Note: I read an email posted by a guy on another site that was from this girl, where she claimed to be abandoned by her abusive and alcoholic husband.

Report N10 (added on May, 26, 2005)

I recently recieved an e-mail from a person claiming to be called Nadejda from CupidBay.
This person claims to be from Perm, Russia. After she sent her picture I immediately went to your website and found her exact same picture listed under the name of Elena Yelyanova. I decided to have some fun with this person. My first letter to her was signed by the name Alec. The second name I used was my real name Greg. This person answered my letter to the same e-mail address without even noticing the name change. Are these scammers this stupid or what? I figured I should inform you about this because she is probably trying to try to scam someone else who may not know about checking these scammers out first.

Report N11 (added on May, 26, 2005)

Contacted me via Yahoo personals, I guessed that it would be a scam and played along with her for a while. After a week, she pledged her love for me and asked me to send 300 Euros via Western Union, LOL.

Report N12 (added on July, 19, 2005)

She left a message with her email address in my personals mailbox, as did several other women from Russia. The curious thing was that her response did not match any of the specifics of the senders. She had money for an international passport, but needed money for a visa, then airfare.

Scammer contacted me on my yahoo personals site unsolicited of course. Uses form letters. sent her link to this site where same form letters were used. hope this helps someone out.

Report N14 (added on November, 11, 2005)

We started communicating around August 24, 2005 where she contacted my through my personals ad with a local service provider. She had an address of New York, NY, seemed legitimate until I responded and found out that the address was similar to one that had blown me off several months prior when I pushed the issue of location, meeting, etc.
This one has been just as coy and has not asked for anything except for conversation back an forth up until about one week ago asking for money via Western Union for a passport and travel papers so she could be with me. I have not sent anything as I became suspicious when I received two identical emails only a couple of days apart. I also have been getting vague answers to questions that I would ask. Now the last item has been a letter from her "mum" on how she looks forward to her daughter and I being together forever!
