My Name is Obed Mobutu Son of Gaba-Desire Mobutu Former President of DR-CONGO (Ex-Zaire) who is married to my mother Mrs. Helen Mobutu which I am the elder son. In total we are seventeen children from referent mothers.
My Father Gaba - Desire Mobutu was former president of DR-CONGO, ruled Ex-Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo) for 32 years (1965–1997).
In May 1990, due to the ending of the Cold War and a change in the international political climate, as well as economic problems and domestic unrest, my late father knew that things will not be the same, and immediately make provision for his family and all of his sons to get the benefit from his wealth.
Then my late father, before he died he made my mother to understand that he deposited some huge amount of money with Security Companies in Different Consignments in different part of the world in my name and my mother’s name. Then he gave my mother all the relevant documents covering the deposit of the Consignment which is marked as family belonging.
I and my mother with my sister were able to move out from DR-Congo to Accra with the help of the UNITED NATION rescue team after the civil war.
After my late father make provision for us, the civil war continue in my country, and some of my elder brothers were killed, and many of them fled to various country, whereby there is not contact among us again. But I and my mother were with my father when he was overthrown in the First Congo War by Laurent-Desire Kabila, who was supported by the governments of Rwanda , Burundi and Uganda .
And we went into temporary exile with my late father in Togo but lived mostly in Morocco. And then Laurent-Desire Kabila became the new president of Ex-Zaire and renamed the country to D.R. Congo.
My father died on September 7, 1997 in exile in Rabat, Morocco, from prostate cancer. He died at 9:30 P.M. evening time at a military hospital in the Maroc, I and my mother were at present before he passed away. And later was buried in Rabat , in the Christian cemetery known as "Pax."
Recently In December 2007, the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of the Congo recommended returning his remains to the Congo and interring them in a mausoleum, which we are not present, because the government is looking for us seriously for what we do not know, because just after the death of my father some of my brother were also killed. And now, we are afraid to return back to our country, though one of my brother’s is now Minister of Agriculture in my country.
In Legacy according to Transparency International, my father embezzled over $500 Billion USD; but which we believe that he made it by his own business and efforts with 100 kilos of gold under the security company, But there don't know what is in the box with them if there know they is money in the box this people will **** me and talk all the money and the gold away and am the only person that have the code of the box and the key to the box so i will be very happy if u can came to Ghana and talk all this away and late i will follow you to your country i will be very greatfull
