Report:  I was a paying member of the website, late 2008 until early 2009. In October or November 2008, Elena Shabdarova, from Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, Russia, contacted me via email, on the website. She stated in her profile, that she was living in some small town, in the state of Iowa, in the USA. [Please understand, that when I deduced this woman was a scammer, using my own common sense, I shredded all of the copies of our correspondence. However, I have many different printed pictures of her, still in my possession. These pictures I previously deleted from my computer, but I can FAX to you the prints I retained.]We corresponded strictly by email only, and we corresponded almost every day for about 2 months. Her letters were sweet and glowing, and with many of the letters, she included one or more photographs of herself. Well, this was THE FIRST woman I had any contact with, using the internet. At first,I thought she was sincere. During the course of our correspondence-my believing she was sincere-I began to propose to her, to come to the United States of America, and marry me. She readily agreed. However, after about 1 month of correspondence, she stated she would like to see photographs of me. Well, i had none in electronic format, so on November 02, 2008 (I still have the sales receipt from PictureMe Studios)I had a single picture of me made, and placed on a portrait CD, which cost $53.49. I sent this picture to her, as email attachment. Well, she never made one mention of the picture, even though she asked for it, on several occasions. This is when,I began to become suspicious. Also, around this time, I began to conduct research, on the issue of the applicable USA immigration laws, which addressed the issue of her coming to the USA, to marry me.I am a paralegal, well able to understand the statutory and regulatory law, of the USA (federal law). And, I began to conduct research, on the internet, concerning international scammers. Well, I had previously asked her for her residence address and telephone/cellphone number. She told me, she had no cellphone/telephone, which we could use, to talk. One of the scammer websites I accessed, stated, Cheboksary, was a scamming center, and further stated, if a woman in Cheboksary tells you she has no telephone, MOVE ON, forget her, as even grade school girls have at least 1 cellphone, and many, have more than 1. I really cannot remember, if she gave me a residence address, but I do not think she did. She told me that her father was in the construction industry, and was quite accomplished, with much respect. Even though I was beginning to become very suspicious, I still exchanged emails with her, not saying or asking anything, which alerted her to my suspicions.[Now I recall, it was the Virginia Travel Agency, which website I accessed. I also sent an email to this agency, telling them about the relationship, as I have told you folks. They told me she is most likely a scammer, and to forget her.] I continued contacting her. In one email, she told me, that it would cost only $700.00 for her to come to the USA, for Passport and Visa, and once she received the money from me, she could come to the USA in ten (10) days. Well, I knew this to be false. At this time, I decided to try to locate her profile again, on the website. Well, I found her. Now, she lives in the state of North Carolina, USA, and she has 2 children. Her husband has been killed in an automobile accident. When I
