Report:  I met this woman on www.christianfilipina.com (CF), when she contacted me, and at first she seemed genuine (surprise, surprise), but over the next few months I grew increasingly suspicious, because the stories she told were clever attempts to elicit thousands of pesos.. That included a claim that her phone was broken and she needed a laptop to replace it, or a new phone--so that we would not lose touch. I refused, but then came other stories. A check on Facebook soon found that she had several variations on her name there, including Karla Kuh, and that she listed among her likes something she had said on CF that she hated. The stories that appeared after I refused to buy her new hardware included the need for emergency dental treatment, the need to provide for a large family funeral, the account of a traffic accident between the tricycle she was in and an out-of-control jeep, for which she needed expensive hospital treatment including a CT scan (and in which she said her cousin who was next to her was killed). But when proofs were asked for, such as hospital documents and photos of her injuries and missing teeth, she always evaded the question with some excuse, such as 'I don't want you to see me like this.' And when the dental clinic she said she had been to was asked, it had no record of her. None of her stories checked out. The total amount of money requested in one way or another amounted to over 70,000 pesos. When I set a deadline for proof, the result was sudden silence. I reported her to CF, which deleted her. I also reported her to the Philippines National Police.

Status of report:  is still without proof
