REPORT N1 (added on July, 29, 2005)
Kevin (USA)

After a few months of corresponding she wanted to come to the US to meet me. Said she was very independent and could pay her own way. Later she needed $650 because visa, tickets, travel to Moscow would cost her $1150 + $500 for visa. I called and verified her flight and she did
have a reservation booked. Two days before the flight she emailed that when she went to collect her ticket at the airport they told her she would need $500 for every week of her stay in the United States. I tried to verify this with Delta International customer service and they said some
countries do require this but could not verify. I wired her the money which would be returned at her arrival. She then emailed me several hours after the flight left Moscow and said that she was robbed the day before. In checkin with Western Union, she picked up the money the day of the flight. She had cancelled her airline flights. Hope someone else will learn from my experience.
