DATING SCAMMER Marina Garshina

This girl contacted me and we started talking, the letters from her became more and more romantic and pasionate in a short time, It was somewhat over the top for me. then she wanted to visit me and needed money for visa and ticket. That's when I became suspicious.

Marina contacted me via the 'Singles me' website of which I am a member. It was a standard/automated reply saying she saw my profile and liked it. She gave her E-Mail address and promised photos if I replied (E-Mail received 3rd August 2005). I contacted her saying I would like to
correspond. She replied on 6th August explaining who she was (women age height etc) and attached 4 photos. I replied giving further details of myself (did not send any photos of me). Her E-Mail on 7th August gave me her home address which she said I was to use (no prompt from me). Her E-Mail on the 9th August she declared her love for me (not bad since she hadn't seen any photo's of me) and she sent another 4 photos. Her E-Mail on 10th August says she wants to meet me and has told her dad, cousin & aunt of me (who they all thought I was a 'beautiful' guy). I must admit my ego and self-esteem was in the sky at this point, come on, you have to admit she quite beautiful. Her E-Mail on the 14th August she wants to come over and see me (a one to three month holiday as she put it). Latest E-Mail on 15th August she has found our three ways to get a visa all at different prices (she hasn't even waited for me to say I'll see her - very cheeky). This made me wonder what was up. Thought I'd search the Internet to see if such a place called 'Kitoi' existed and this is when I found your site. Guess who was on there, yep, thats right the lovely Marina. I am still going to keep on writing to her and will let you know has it spans out.

I saw this woman on this site, and was suspicious of her anyway - she was, after a very short time, proposing marriage and that she loved me. I am a good looking, successful guy, but am also 18 years her senior, and when I asked her in an early email if she didn't find I was too old for her, she never answered.
She told me that she was coming to Canada to visit, and her father was going to sell his family cottage in the town he grew up in to finance our "first years" together....lol
Then she started asking for money...

At first she seemed extremely sincere and honest and very open In one week we exchanged about 30 letters but when she wouldnt start answering my questions about her and she was always repeating that her Father trusted me and liked me I knew she was lying ! I almost believed
her and would have but she ******* up ! Good for me and I hope no one falls victim to this evil but beautiful little woman ! I hope this report does help someone !

Did not answer questions asked, was like talking to a wall. Fell into all profiles specified on this site as a scammer. Did not send money, still corresponding.

Sent money for plane ticket and wanted more for what she called pocket money so she could enter canada.

We corresponded for a few weeks she wanted money. The letters were getting very intense. I almost sent money but somehow this site came to me in an email.

This person found me on "Date" and soon as she started
corresponding with me she removed her profile. She talked a month with me and twice in the same wording asked me for $740 US for a plane ticket to Canada as she claimed she only had a $100 US saved up and couldn't get a VISA until she had plane ticket. When I said I could go to Russia she said it was unsafe to do so. She told me a lot about her family, work, etc and sent me 12 photos of herself one of which is used on this site already. An
anonymous e-mail sent me here to her scammer report to warn me of her actions although I'm not sure who sent it or how they found my e-mail. Anyways I never knew these Russian people were like this until now and
needless to say no money was ever sent because it all seemed too good to be true that someone could have such feelings for someone else so fast over e-mails and professing their love for them etc. I'm glad I didn't fall for it but she did have me going for a while and seemed very sincere but whenever I asked her specific questions she would ignore them in the next e-mails so beware.

Many letters with nothing concrete, never answering any of my questions, talked about a dream on a lake shore.

14, 2005. She gave me her email address and asked that I write directly to her. Her letters stated she was not looking for any long correspondence but she was sure she had found her soulmate. She sent me six pictures of herself, a very pretty and **** woman and easy to fall for. But it all seem as a sales pitch and marketing gimmick. But I was willing to go along with this for a time, to see where it would go. Her letters spoke of her
fathers disaproval at first, but that if this is what she wanted he would be happy. She told that her father trusted me. She told me her mother died at her birth and was raised by her aunt. The stories seem disjointed. It
almost seemed as if she was answering some one elses questions at times. I asked her many questions that went unanswered. Then the romantic stuff started. I became suspicious when she told me she wanted to come and meet her soulmate. Then came stuff about God had caused us to be brought together. She would check on visa and airplane costs. She had saved up some money. Of course, once we got "married" her father would sell his
house and give us the money to live on while she found a job here. Some times her letters repeated the same things she had already wrote, I found that odd. Then the visa and airline ticket cost came up. She could not imagine how much air fare was. She had the money for visa, but not the airline ticket. Well, I was suspicious, again , when she said her "parents" did not bring her up to ask for money but that all her money matters she should take care of herself. She asked for $ 790 US Dollars and that I had to wire it via Western Union, I offered to buy the plane tickect direct, she replied that she could not apply for a visa without buying the ticket herself at the same time she got the visa. She was going to get a B-2 visa, which meant she would have to return to Russia, I asked her where will that money come from to return to Russia. No answers. I put her off saying that I could not come up with the money right away. She went on about she can only take this holiday before her busy season at
work starts other wise it would be next year.
She write about crying her self to sleep because she is not with her soulmate, and this very difficult for herself to live without me. How she is looking forward to starting our future together. All pretty conviencing to a lonely guy.
I dont know how I got this Stop-scammers.com, I am sure thankful, I received it before I did something ******. Whom ever is responsible for getting it to me I am thankful.

Contacted me out of the blue. Site showed Ny address. Told me from Russia. Same scenario, read my profile, quick love, meeting need ticket to meet here...Seldom answered direct questions..mentioned Father who had
house to sell for good beginning etc When challenged about her trustworthyness she answered defensely.. almost "got me" I saw reports on here remarkably at best time before made dumb move...

I got an e-mail from Marina sometime the last of Aug. We started to write letters back and forth every day. Things were going pretty fast but very good. She told me that if she did not answer my questions that they would be answered in a later letter. I would ask her simple things
and they were never answered. She wanted to meet me and I had no problem with that. I told her that I would like to hear her voice and she said there were no telephones in the town that she lived in. I thought this was strange that they have internet cafe but no telephones. She said that she was in management at a furniture store. Top sales person.
By Aug. 10 she wanted to know how I felt about our relationship. Her father was going to sell his homestead where she grew up and it was worth about $40,000.00 to help us when we got married to tied us over till she found a job and for us to come and visit him. She said her father trusted me and liked me. Aug 13 she was writing about visa. Aug. 14 she was giving me flight details and that she had saved a little money and had enough for the visa and about $100.00 on the tickets. S he needed $820.00 more for tickets. I checked and every thing she had written seemed to be correct. It seemed to be a good deal on the tickets. I could only find them for $1200.00 or more. The next day she e-mailed to tell me how to send the money. I thought very ******* whether I should send the money or
not. I sent the money. The very next morning I got an anonymous e-mail directing me to this site and I saw her profile. I was sick. I wet strait to western union to see if I could pick up the money. Since it is 13 hours ahead of my time she had picked up the money. On Aug.29 she ask for more money because she had only bought a one way ticket and was very upset when I told her I could not send any more money at this time. She was very convincing. Made me feel real "******".
