REPORT N1 (added on September, 21, 2021)
Jeff (Netherlands)

On the Mingle2 dating site, I met a woman calling herself Adele Adamson. She claimed to be 29 years old with a birthday in August. She said she was a student in Business Management and lived in a flat her father bought for her in South Kensington, London, on her 21st birthday, which is an extremely rich place to live. Although her profile stated that she was only interested in men aged 22 to 38 years, she contacted me first, although I was almost twice her age. Later, she professed that age did not matter ("Yes, I know you are much older than me but I do believe age does [not] define a man, I believe it's the man that you are in your heart that matters"). Almost immediately she wanted to leave the site and write by email. We corresponded for about 3 weeks and she sent 9 letters, 7 photos, and 1 video.
Her letters were perfunctory, and although she answered some questions, she was evasive about other personal matters. She claimed to have lost her father 7 years ago from lung cancer and that her parents had divorced when she was 11. She told me stories about bad relationships and men cheating with her, while also warming up to me too fast. The video she sent was supposed to be from a beach one year earlier, but it is clearly from a tropical paradise and not from the UK.
She never came straight out and asked for money, but her letters were erratic and she blamed the slowness in her replies on a "faulty computer". Although she wanted to meet, she never gave me her phone number or address. When I did not offer money, she stopped writing and disappeared.
