"my name is Mariia, several months ago we already exchanged emails along with you. I had written to you from the Internet cafe, and today I have a brand new e-mail. I previously said, I am from Ukraina.
I was very pleased to see your answer and my feelings improved. I hope that you and I get acquainted with each other, and it can grow into something more. I understand that we have a time difference. But I don't believe it will be a challenge for us. I've a work day today. And I'll be free tonight. When my workday is over, I'll go to the food market. After which my evening will be free. I look forward to your letter.
Have a good day time."

This lady contacted me in the last part of june, referring to some previous mail exchange which is unknown to me. She hoped that "you and I get acquainted with each other, and it will develop into something more." In one of her next letters she expressed the hope that she would soon be able to go to my country. The well-known story of having won a so called grant came up: "But I also won a grant from several students in the competition, which includes paying for a visa and tickets, plus $ 12,000 for expenses during my stay in your country." In fact some of her letters were exact copies of letters I have received from other Ukrainian scammers. In the further development of our correspondence it appeared that she needed 1500 EUROS to pay a bribe to some Ukrainian checkpoint in order to have an exit permit. She had 900 USD herself and desperately searched for another 600. It came as no surprise when she finally asked me to help her..

The first thing in mind when I read this email letters is too good to be true and it's a scam this is why I'm reporting this to stop-scammers.com and please see below the details.

Height is 167 cm, (5ft 5in) weight 52 kg. (8 stone). Speaks good English.
She is 34 years old and has lived all her life in Ukraine, in the city of Chernihiv. But after the outbreak of hostilities, she moved to Kyiv and then Lviv.
UK VISA ISSUED IN WARSAW 13.03.2023.
She first contacted me in September 2022, explaining that she had been given a grant by the Ministry of Education in Ukraine to study in the UK, and that the sum of this grant was $10,000 and asked if I would sponsor her. Initially, she did not ask for money, and I agreed to help her in whatever way I could, including providing accommodation. She wrote to me regularly, explaining how she was heading through Ukraine, with a view to entering Poland via Rzeszow. She then made her way to Warsaw, where she applied for, and was given, a visa to enter the UK.
At the time, she told me that she was staying at the following address, but when the regular emails stopped arriving, I called the hostel, fearing for her safety, but the hostel had no record of her in the name which she had used to apply for the visa.

She had asked me if I could help her by sending her $200. On 06.04.2023, I sent her the $200 that she had requested, as per the attached receipt, following which she sent me another email, as per the attached. I refused to send her any more money. Since then I have not heard from her, and I have every reason to believe that she is now in the UK.

"My beloved I received your message and receipt number, I hope I can receive everything today, I am very grateful to you. I hope you can help me some more and send 200-220 if you get the chance. Really looking forward to your answer. What are your plans? Are you all right? Please answer me as best as you can. I really miss you, I'm sorry that the mail behaves like this, it's not my fault. Love you.
