DATING SCAMMER Maria Somova

I have exchanged emails with a girl from Russia, but her story just didn't jive. Her English seemed to fluctuate between articulate and a convenient foreign mis-match of words. I decided to investigate and found 2 guys on your website had received the exact same emails I have. The amazing part is that I have only received 3 or 4 emails from this girl, while the guys on your site had 13 - 17 letters. The bottom line, these women are beautiful (at least their photos are) and they befriend foreigners, as the online relationship evolves, they claim to want to meet and are willing to travel from Russia to Europe or the US to meet. The punch line, they run out of money and want "help" with the airfare.
I've had a weird feelin about this girl, but I am glad I could learn from the guys on your site. Be on the look out for half-English speaking Russsians claiming to be willing to meet you anywhere in the world.

Contacted on American Singles via e-mail with her private e-mail box. We corresponded for about 3 weeks. Typical visa/ticket scam followed.

Somebody under the name of Sara R Had send me a mail from the USA. I reacted on it saying I am 56 is she still interested.
The next letter was a letter as you have got on your list as first letter Hi my new friend, etc. From the beginning I thought it was a scam, but I was interested on how this would develope. I send you the different letters from her to judge for yourself. I am still trying to get her out her normal routine corner and told her that I never ever send mobey to people I have not met myself in person and would like to meet her this summer. In one of her letters she gave me the name of the village her family lives in. I checked the place according to her subscription, near Irkutsk, and could not found it there but the village is near Moscow. I want to confront her with it one of my next letters, to see how she would react to it. Maybe should not do it but I like to tease them back and see what reactions I get. This is the first time it happened to me.

Contacted by 2 sets of girls, named Olga. Different ages, different cities, different photos, BUT one big problem. Several letters contained exact verbage of comments. the letters began different, but the last portion was exactly the same for both in at least 3 letters I received. Never answered any of my questions and proved to be typical scammers we all see.
Just make sure you read letters carefully and see how they respond to what you just wrote ot them previously. Scammers rarely address anything you mention and just give you their blah blah story. Typical *****.

Told me her company was going to open a subsidiary in my city,all her expenses would be paid by her company. Told me that while in Russia, sh was robbed of her ticket money and was now stuck in Russia unless I could help her.

I think she wrote me as fourth person after 3 reports I found on this site.

She claimed she was 25 years old, 5'-6" tall, 123 lbs, DOB: 12-21-1981, from Russian town of Marcova, nearest City was Irkutsk, held certificate as Fitness Instructor.

This girl started e mailing me at match said that she was from Russia. After like two days she was in love with me. Said that she wanted to come and live with me here in Greece. I thought that this was strange cause she did not even know me. So I played along to see where this would go. She wanted 500 euro for a plane ticket. So she had some fake travel agent send me flight information of flights that were fake and they would only take cash too. I did not send her a dime have not heard a word from her since.
I save all her pictures and letters.

She fell in love after 3 letters and after the 5th she wanted money for travel. I have letters and pictures.

On April 27th 2007. I received an E-mail at 11:59 pm from a young lady, that said her name was Irina and she was from Russia.In her introduction of herself to me, she claimed to be a 27 year old woman who had finished college and was working in a Hospital,and had decided to try to find a partner outside of Russia . Because of a bad experience with her previous relationship,she also claimed that she got my E-mail address from some acquaintance service on the net. (Which was not true ) as my E-mail address is not listed on any site of this sort. So upon receiving this E-mail I decided to play this out to see where it would lead, so i then returned an E-mail to her and introduced myself, in a formal manner and i also sent a photo of myself as she had requested in her first E-mail. She then sent me another E-mail this time asking for a photo and more personal questions like am i single,my occupation,financial status and some questions about family. so i then sent her another E-mail and gave her a brief description of these things. And for one month we communicated back and forth she the made a suggestion that we meet and she suggested that i come to meet her in Europe, the very next day she E-mailed me and said that it would be a better idea for her to come to me , down in the Cayman Islands where i live , so i then told her that this was a better plan, she then wrote and told me to tell her the date that would be convenient for me and she also told me that money would not be any problem. So we set a date for June 22nd and about a week later she wrote and said that she had spoken to a travel agent about her travel arrangements and that she had requested a visa, she also said that she was to go back to the agent the following day to conclude her business. The following day she wrote and told me that she had returned to the travel agency and that the total cost of the visa and ticket would be US$750.00, and she said that she had paid $250.00 and she needed me to help her with the other $500.00,because it had to be paid within five days,and she did not have the $500. I then wrote and told her that i would send the money for her, but before this she was to give me the details of her name, address, and a copy of the visa, she then wrote and gave me the name Ekaterina Chernyshova and she said that the visa was not yet ready and as soon as it was ready she would send me the copy,and she suggested that i send the money the following day which would have been May 25th 2007. I did not send the money, instead i waited 3 days to see if she would E-mail me to find out why i had not sent the money,and during this time i used another E-mail address that i have and sent her an E-mail and a photo of my best friend.( who is dead!) claiming to be a 30 year old Electronics store owner from New York, who saw her profile on a dating site and had taken an interest in her profile.She has now sent an identical E-mail to this new address, same as the first E-mail that she had sent to me initially, word for word the same photos and the same claim that she too had seen my dead friend's photo and profile on the dating site and have also shown interest in him. Today is the 1st of June and i still have not heard anything from her with regards to me not sending the money.I have not received a copy of the visa not even an E-mail to my address. So i can only come to one conclusion, This was a scam. I have saved all of her E-mails and her photos and i will be glad to send them to anyone who is interested.

Conned out of 8,000.00 over four months.
I know it was dumb but i sent this woman 8,000.00 how much proof do u want she presented a false passport and sounded very sincere over the phone. Her directions for sending money wester union were in care of a girlfriend who may be really her here is a reciept. the adress givin to me is march 8 14-21,4431125 samara the name olga nigmatzanova she always called and thanked me.

This girl ask me for money after getting in Moscow. She asked for $700 USD. She said her ticket from Irkutsk to Moscow cost her more than she tought and now she's in Moscow unable to buy ticket to come to see me.
