Brian (USA)

I met a woman on Americansingles in May of 2004. Her name is Elena Sukachova. She calls herself Lena. Her email is secondhalf2004@yahoo.com. She lives in Lugansk, although her profile listed Simferopol. Her address in lugansk is UL Kirova 5/1 Lugansk 91019.
I am from the U.S. and had never talked to any women outside the U.S., however when I saw her interest in me on the dating site, I couldn't help myself, her pictures were very beautiful. We wrote letters everyday to each other and after 2 weeks, she started talking about coming here to me. I was falling for her myself and with the thought of having such a beautiful woman as mine. So I began to plan for her to come here to see me. Having never been abroad, I was completely ignorant of how easy or not easy getting a visitors visa to the U.S. is. I had read online that it was very hard for a single woman to get a visitors visa, but she assured me that her travel agent promised that she could get a visa with no problem. So I sent her $825.00 for her visa and airfare. At this time the flight was booked for 2 weeks from then, her visa was supposed to be aproved within 10 days. As the flight came near, she was to take the train from Lugansk to Kiev, where she would get her visa and leave on her flight the next morning. The day she arrived in Kiev, she sent me an email saying that she was very upset because her visa had been denied. She wrote that she would take the train back to Lugansk and be there the next day. She asked me to please come there to her since she couldn't come to me. I had also sent her an additional $400. oo that she had requested, saying that her travel agent recommended that she would need to show travel expense money at customs. She wrote that she was sending the money back to me.
After this point, we planned for me to come ther instead. She also began to ask that we be married there as soon as I arrive to see her. I wrote everyday to explain to her that the waiting time here for a wife to get a visa is much longer than the wait time for a fiance', over a year longer wait actually. The difference was 3 months for fiance' as opposed to 16 months for a wife. I explained to her that while I want us to be married and would love to marry her in her country, that she would have to wait much longer for her visa if we were to marry then. I told here that if she wanted to be married there and understood the longer wait and was willing to wait longer for her visa that of course I would marry her there. I asked her to tell me that she understands the longer wait for a wife to come here. Our letters after that consisted of her asking me if I am trying to delay our wedding and give myself more time and me writing her and asking her time and time again to respond to me that she understood the waiting times for a visa. I told here that I wanted her to decide when and where we will be married. As long as she understood that she will wait more than a year longer for her visa. At that time, she told me that she is going away to her relatives and that I am not willing to marry her there! That is the last I heard from her.
2 interesting things happened. First, I looked at the ip address on the email she sent from Kiev. It was the exact same ip as every letter she had sent from Lugansk, at the internet cafe. This is impossible.
You cannot send a letter from 550 miles away and have the letter trace back to the same computer in Lugansk that all other letters were sent from. This meant that she was in Lugansk at the internet cafe when she wrote the letter saying that she was in Kiev being denied her visa. She never even left home. It was all a lie. Also, the letter arrived with the money she sent back to me. Except the money was missing! A letter saying here is your money, yet no money. Nothing! both things happened while we were still talking. I didn't want to believe either situation was possible, but ip's dont lie!
So there I was, no girl, no money. $1,300.00 including Western Union fees. Hopefully, if anyone else meets her, they will see this before they decide to send any money to her.

I can hardly writing to you, because my eyes are watery now. They didn’t give me a visa. They told me we have to meet first in Ukraine. I haven’t met you in my country, so they denied my application.
