I have a friend who uses the dating site True. He was contacted by two seperate profiles that used the exact same wording and they urged him to contact them at their personal email address. They were listed as living in the states. They said they were moving to the area soon and wanted to get to know people. They said they feared True would pull their profile because they had listed personal information. My friend contacted this person. He received a letter that I thought was suspicious. It stated that she saw his picture and she thought he was good-looking. My friend does not have his photo posted on his profile. The letter went on to say that she was all alone because she was an only child and her parents died young. She wasn't looking to meet someone with the hopes of finding someone abroad. She came to the internet cafe to do some research and just happened to find my friend on what she called the source. She sent to posed and professional looking pictures. When my friend did not respond right away she sent another letter urging his reply. She needed to know what happened that he didn't want to write her anymore. At this point I set up two fake e-mail addresses and e-mailed her, telling her I found her profile and was interested in her. Sure enough, I started getting the EXACT same letters and pictures that my friend was getting. SHe sent a picture of herself in a bikini in a **** pose. She quickly became at ease writing to us. She felt like she could trust us and felt like she knew us forever. She wants to visit the states because the e-mails are no longer enough for her. She will continue writing, but she wants to plan a trip soon.

Even though I've told this person I know she is a scammer she continues to write and send pictures. I thought I would send the new letters and pictures she sent me. In one of her letters she says her grandma has died and she is moving to Saint Petersbutg from Kiev to take care of the funeral. In her next letter her last name has changed. There is no more mention of the dead grandma. It's as if she's lived in Saint Petersburg all her life.
